Albany Prep is a safe, small, high-quality FREE public school in the heart of Albany. Eventually serving

grades 5-8, Albany Prep is currently enrolling students entering the 5th and 6th grades in Fall 2008.

Albany Prep is a safe, small, high-quality tuition-free public middle school in the heart of Albany.  The school is open to all age-eligible students – there are no entrance exams, no eligibility requirements, no income qualifications.  A commitment to think hard, study well, behave properly, and be ready to learn is all that students who are interested in Albany Prep need to demonstrate.

With high expectations for academic achievement, Albany Prep is designed to produce smart, mature young people who can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with students locally, nationally, and internationally.  The school design – based on academic excellence, global citizenship, and application of knowledge – has its roots in the International Baccalaureate program, one of the most well-respected and successful school models in the world.
