Albany Prep is a safe, small, high-quality
tuition-free public middle school in the heart of Albany. The
school is open to all age-eligible students – there are no
entrance exams, no eligibility requirements, no income
qualifications. A commitment to think hard, study well, behave
properly, and be ready to learn is all that students who are
interested in Albany Prep need to demonstrate.
With high expectations for academic achievement, Albany
Prep is designed to produce smart, mature young people
who can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with students locally,
nationally, and internationally. Our school expects the best
from its students and – with its research-based curricular
